Keeping Your Graph Up-to-Date
This section is about how we keep the graph in sync
Live Sync is a PRO Feature:
For PRO Users Live Sync automatically works. No need for extra setup. Free Users can use the manual refresh to update their graph. This takes a few seconds to a minute.
How Live Sync Works
Graphify is connected directly to your Notion workspace using Webhooks. This means whenever you make a change to a connected page in Notion, whether you create, edit, or delete it, Notion sends an instant notification to Graphify. Your graph is then updated automatically within seconds.
You can monitor the status of the sync via the indicator in the navigation bar. It will show you if Graphify is currently syncing, if the last sync was successful, or if an error occurred.
No More Manual Refreshes:
With Live Sync, you no longer need to manually refresh the graph to see your latest changes. Just edit in Notion, and the graph will change in a couple of seconds to minutes.
When to Use the Manual "Refresh Graph" Button
While Live Sync handles almost everything, the manual Refresh Graph button still has its uses:
-
Initial Sync: After connecting a new Notion workspace for the first time, a manual refresh is a good way to pull in all your existing pages at once.
-
As a Fallback: In the rare event that a webhook notification from Notion is missed, or if you feel something is out of sync, a manual refresh will re-scan your entire connected workspace and correct any discrepancies.
Troubleshooting: Why Aren't My Changes Showing Up?
If your updates aren't appearing in Graphify even after a few moments, check the following:
- Is the page connected to Graphify? → In Notion, open the page, click the "..." menu, and ensure Graphify (or your Internal Integration) is listed under "Add Connections." If a page isn't shared, Graphify cannot see it.
- Did you link the pages correctly? → Ensure you used /link to page, @ mentions of other pages, or a Database Relation property to create a connection in Notion.
- Still not updating? → Use the manual Refresh Graph button as a fallback. → If the issue persists, please contact us at hello@getgraphify.com.
